[December 16-18] Notice of International Symposium on Critical Metal Mineralization

Critical Metals and Critical Minerals are a group of metal elements and their deposits which are important to the development of strategic emerging industries. It not only has the important economic characteristics that other elements cannot replace, but also has high supply risk. Key metals are very important for new materials, new energy, information technology, aerospace, sophisticated weapons and other emerging industries. They are indispensable and important supporting raw materials in these fields, and have an important strategic significance of " Use a small force to move a big object " for national economy, national security and scientific and technological development.

Key metals are an important frontier in the international geoscience research in recent years, which has been highly valued by western countries such as Europe and the United States and achieved many new research results. China also has paid more and more attention on the investigation and research of key metal minerals. Especially this year, the National Natural Science Foundation of China set up a major research plan on the dynamics of strategic key metal super enrichment minerals, which marks that the research on key metal mineralization in China has entered a new historical stage. In order to absorb international advanced research methods and excellent research results and promote the research and application of key metals in China, the International Symposium on critical metal mineralization will be held in Wuhan from December 16 to 18, 2019 with the approval of the Department of international cooperation and exchange of the Ministry of education and China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).

The conference will invite a number of well-known domestic and foreign experts to focus on the frontier and progress of key metal mineralization research in the form of special keynote speech, refer to  the advanced international theory and technology level, conduct deep discussion and exchange, promote the development and application of domestic key deposits and deposits exploration, break the bottleneck constraints of key metal resources, and serve the strategic action of prospecting breakthrough.  At the same time, the seminar will deepen academic exchanges at home and abroad, improve the international influence of Chinese researchers, and provide a platform for domestic researchers to learn and exchange, especially young researchers.
